Basic principle We, the Ohishi Sangyo Group, are fully aware that grappling with environmental problems is our corporative social responsibility, we will grow as a corporation friendly to people and out planet based on our policy, and will conserve the environment in every domestic/overseas business aspect in order to pass on a healthy global environment to the next generation. Basic policies 1.  We will construct an environmental management system, promote the preparation of a monitoring system, and maintain and improve our environmental management quality. 2.  We will obey domestic/international regulations/agreements/ and set voluntary standards to preserve environment. 3.  We will aggressively introduce advanced technology, develop, and provide products and services that can reduce environmental load and risks. 4.  We will promote the 3 R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in every aspect of our business, save energy and resources, reduce waste, and prevent pollution. 5.  In order to build environmental awareness, we will actively provide information, practice enlightenment, and preserve the environment along with the community and society. Promotion framework We will set up an environmental committee that consists of persons in top-management positions, prepare an action guide and action plan for environmental conservation activities, and designate a person in charge of making these activities known to everyone and carrying them out the activity. We will also periodically audit the status of implementation. Action guide 1.  The promotion of energy saving With the introduction of the Kyoto Protocol that requires developed countries to reduce greenhouse gas emission, to achieve the goal of the international agreements (the Action Program to Arrest Global Warming) by 2025 is the most important challenge, and we will promote energy saving as the most important issue. 2.  The development of environmentally friendly production technologies and products We will develop manufacturing technologies and products with lower environmental load by using accumulated know-how as a comprehensive packaging manufacturer providing recycled paper products, known as pulp mould. Also, when we purchase materials, we will choose not only safe but also low environmental load materials. 3.  Reduction of wastes and promotion of recycling We will reduce the production of industrial wastes from manufacturing processes; promote recycling of wastes to reduce the wastes destined for final disposal.
